Contract HR Assistant (18-20 weeks)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Administrative Specialist to provide contract support for the next 18-20 weeks. This role is ideal for someone prior HR experience, or a strong administrative professional looking to gain hands-on HR exposure. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations, with a strong focus on recruiting coordination, HR systems, and administrative processes.

Job Duties:

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team
  • Post job openings and manage recruitment workflows
  • Assist with job advertising and candidate communication
  • Prepare and issue offer letters
  • Support payroll-related HR activities, including:
    • Processing personnel actions (e.g., terminations)
    • Assisting with I-9 compliance and related documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed
  • Support general HR operations in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Prior HR experience OR strong administrative experience with an interest in HR
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
  • Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Information:

  • Schedule: Mon - Thurs, 8am - 4:30pm (32 hours per week)
  • Pay Range: $25-30/hr.
  • Location: Chaska, MN
  • Type: Contract - Starting ASAP through late September/early October (Approx. 18-20 weeks)
